Nitrate Sampling and Testing

What we do -  Nitrate sampling at Lincoln Ag is tailored to the needs of your farm.  We adjust our sampling timing and method to suit your individual needs and nitrogen application method of your farming operation. We also receive and analyze nitrate samples from outside sources.

How we do it - Lincoln Ag can take nitrate samples using GPS technology to create a variable rate nitrogen application recommendation for 28%, urea, and anhydrous ammonia. We also utilize standard block nitrate sampling to provide accurate side-dress nitrogen recommendations. 

All nitrate samples are analyzed using our in-house nitrate testing equipment. Having our nitrate testing performed on-site, allows the fastest turn around time possible, often providing same day results.

The result - In-season nitrate testing ensures that the correct amount of nitrogen is applied to each field and each crop. Dennis Bischer reviews each sample result and makes a recommendation tailored to the crop sampled. These recommendations are based on yield potential, previous crop, and soil nitrate levels. This process maximizes yield potential and prevents costly over application of nitrogen.
